Kościelisko is one of the best bases for exploring the Tatra National Park. From here you can access the picturesque Kościeliska Valley – one of the most beautiful valleys in the Tatras. Nearby is also the Chochołowska Valley, which in spring delights visitors with crocuses and wide walking trails.
Regardless of the season, the local trails offer unforgettable views and close contact with wild nature.

We encourage you to go on cycling trips along scenic routes. The cycling trail built on a former railway embankment – the “Around the Tatras Trail” – runs from Nowy Targ through Czarny Dunajec to the Slovak town of Trstená. The entire route is asphalted and is about 35 km long, running on a separate cycling path.
A great choice is also the Chochołowska Valley route, which leads all the way to the mountain shelter at Chochołowska Meadow!
After a day full of experiences, it is worth taking care of recovery. Near Kościelisko there are popular thermal complexes such as Chochołowskie Termy and Bukovina Thermal Baths.
Warm water rich in minerals, sauna zones, and pools with mountain views make these places ideal for relaxation at any time of the year.

In Kościelisko itself and the nearby area there are smaller ski lifts, ideal for learning to ski and family-friendly riding. The intimate atmosphere and lack of long queues are a major advantage of this place.
Nearby ski resorts include Witów-Ski station, Polana Szymoszkowa, Harenda ski lift, and Suche Ski.
On site you can find equipment rental, instructors, and ski schools, making it easy to organize an active day in the snow.
A winter stay in Kościelisko would not be complete without an atmospheric sleigh ride through snowy clearings and forests at the foot of the Tatras. A horse-drawn sleigh ride with views of mountain peaks, lit by torches, is a truly magical experience. The evening often ends with a bonfire featuring regional specialties and Highlander music.
We will be happy to advise you when and where it is best to go on a sleigh ride.
